WELCOME TO WORLDWIDE WEB RADIO
Web Radio is a credible, responsive medium that delivers impressions to an educated, affluent, loyal audience. Web radio refers to a stream of audio content that is broadcast via the internet. It is becoming increasingly popular as more web users move to high-speed internet connections and seek free quality audio content online. Walk around any office in the US, and you'll see workers listening to their favorite radio stations via the internet.
With instant access to online response and a fantastic demographic of hard-to-reach, younger, white-collar professionals; direct response advertisers are excited about the low cost and huge reach afforded by marketing on professional online radio broadcast over the web.
The market is large. There are an estimated 2.1 - 2.7 billion streams/progressive download views per month in the professional, ad supported or free content segment. And unlike traditional Arbitron ratings for broadcast radio, internet radio has accurate listenership measurement. Here's how you can promote your business and advertise to 15 million listeners.
In a single week, radio reaches more than 228 million Americans. That's 94 percent of everyone age 12 and
older, according to Arbitron . So no matter what types of prospects you want to reach, radio advertising will help you do it. Plus, radio is mobile. Eighty percent of adults listen to radio in their cars, and a quarter of the population also listens while at work.
There's a lot that's new in radio. Many stations now stream their programming on the internet and reach additional local and even national audiences. What's more, if online listeners like what they hear in your streaming radio spot, they're just one click away from your website.
Radio provides an ideal advertising medium for small businesses, but running an effective campaign takes a bit of know-how. That is where we at WMEXRADIO.COM comes in. THE HISTORY OF BOSTON RADIO IS ON SALE HERE:

Book Description:
Boston's radio history begins with pioneering station 1XE/WGI, one of America's first radio stations, and includes the first station to receive a commercial license, WBZ; the first FM radio network, W1XOJ and W1XER; and one of the first news networks, the Yankee News Service. Nationally known bandleaders like Joe Rines and Jacques Renard were first heard on Boston radio, as was one of the first weathercasters, E. B. Rideout. The city has been home to a number of legendary announcers, such as Bob and Ray, Arnie Ginsburg, Dick Summer, Dale Dorman, and Charles Laquidara; talk show giants like Jerry Williams and David Brudnoy; and sports talkers like Eddie Andelman and Glenn Ordway. Many Boston radio personalities, such as Curt Gowdy, "Big Brother" Bob Emery, Don Kent, and Louise Morgan, found fame on television but first established themselves on Boston's airwaves. Since 1920, Boston radio has remained vibrant, proving that live and local stations are as important as ever.
Author Bio: Donna L. Halper is a Boston-based author, professor, and media historian with expertise in the history of broadcasting. Using rare photographs from her own collection and from some of Boston's best-known air personalities, she tells the story of the stations and announcers Bostonians have loved for decades.
